User update permission

Hello,

Hopefully someone will have come across this but if we have TeamViewer rolled out to remote users who are site based and cannot get into the office easily, how can we allow a user to update TeamViewer when it prompts there's a new version without having to give any local admin rights. We keep our machines locked down and need to keep it that way.

We are unable to update remotely as it kills off TeamViewer whilst it tries to update.

Thanks in advance.

Paul

    Hi @PaulDuxbury,

    Thank you for your post😊

You can try turning on automatic updates, but if that fails it's being blocked by Windows Policies.

In this case, admin rights are needed for installs.

Hope this information will help you.

    Best regards,
