Disabling 2FA using recovery key

Hello,

My phone had an accident and as a result I need to disable 2FA temporarily.

I have a valid recovery code. However, when I go to my user profile, there is no option anywhere to use the recovery code to disable the 2FA.

Each an every option demands the code from the 2FA which is precisely what is missing.

I looked at the support forums and the link posted in the instruction post, simply took me back to my generic user page; not to any "use recovery key to disable 2FA" option.

Am I missing something? Is there some hidden area to input the recovery code?

OK everyone,

Inadvertently, we have a solution. If one is already logged in, there's no way to disable 2FA. Furthermore, all links indicated won't work either.

Only way to do this:

1) Log out

2) Log back in

3) At the 2FA input click I have recovery code

4) Enter recovery code

...Profit?

So this is the way forward now.
