I am currently in Spain and I tried to connect to a friend in the UK but got the message saying remote computer running an old version please update but we are both running the latest version?
This sounds like an issue we were facing yesterday, but this has been resolved already. See here.
Are you both on the latest 15? If not, this might be the cause. Otherwise - does a restart of TeamViewer help?
