would like to connect to my addition PC in another location. but im not sure how to continue?. does there have to be someone there to except the initial invitation? is my first Q.

That's a very good question! There are several methods you can connect to a remote PC.
You can connect via confirmation. In this scenario, your computer will send a connection request to the remote computer and someone on the other end will have to accept this request.
You can connect also via unattended access via Easy Access. If Easy Access is enabled, you will be able to connect without any interaction of the user on the remote side. Please find more information here:
