How to use Windows Logon with Microsoft Account?

I've turned on the option to login using Windows Logon (only for admin accounts). My admin account is connected to my Microsoft Account, so I enter the email associated with the account and the associated password to login to the computer directly. But entering these credentials via TeamViewer doesn't work. Is there a different way to get this to work? Previously, I was able to enter the username of the account from before it got connected to the Microsoft Account, but this is a new account that's never had a separate username.

I was able to find the "local" username by looking at the folder in C:\Users. In this case, with an email like dukes.b@example.outlook.com, the username was dukes.
