bug - cannot make my profile private

trying to make my profile private, but when i choose that option in my profile it tells me i do not have permission to do that....

Edits are only possible during a certain time frame. I think it's a day.

actually i get a fee permissions issues ...if i try and edit a thread i started it says i dont have permission....
