I am new to TeamViewer. How do I connect to my home computer while traveling on the road from another city in the USA? I don't know how this all works! Thank you.

Welcome to TeamViewer and our Community!

By default, to start a remote session, you must know what is the partner's ID and Password.

If you want to have access to the device at any moment, you need to configure the easy access.

However, If you are currently far away from the device that you want to connect, and you never configured easy access, my suggestion is to call someone who is close to it, and:

Ask the person to open TeamViewer --> click on the Remote Control tab
Ask the person to provide the TeamViewer ID and Password
Now that you have this information, you can open your TeamViewer (on your location), and on the Remote Control tab, you will type the ID number provided --> Connect --> Type the password --> ok, now it will connect to the partner device.

Once your are connected, you can set up the easy access if you want.
