Hi all,
I need to upgrade TV10 to a newer version that is still being supported on an IPC running Win7 SP1 on a 32bit system, and yes the updates have all been 32 bit too.
I have tried doing the onscreen update ( Check for newer versions) and it gives me the option of updating to TV 10.... a later version than already installed or TV15. I have tried both and the install seems to get stuck at about 20-25% of the way and never gets anywhere despite leaving for several hours.
I have tried uninstalling TV10 and then installing TV15, Uninstalling TV10 and deleting every single trace of it that I can find, but when IPC restarts TV10 is there just like a virus 😲. I have tried uninstalling and then installing newer versions, both with and without restart of IPC, makes no difference whatsoever
I have also tried downloading newer versions and doing the update step by step 10-11, 10-12, 10-13, 10-14 and 10-15 in case going from TV10-TV15 was too big a step (even though done it on other systems running Win7SP1 without issue) but all with the same result - a message saying " Installation files could not be extracted - installation aborted" .
To say it's doing my head in is an understatement, does anyone have any ideas that might help?
Also it's not just around the corner to site, it's an 8 hour drive from where I'm based in U.K. to part of Scotland so I can't exactly just try this or just try that 😣
