How am i supposed to update to a new version on another computer that TeamViewer won't let me access

HELP I am trying to connect to another computer that is running TeamViewer 11, so I downgraded my version but it still won't let me connect. It is requiring an update. In order to the update I then have to give the Administrator ID & password. That is not an option. HELP

This not being backwards compatible is so, 19th century.... There should be the option to connect to older version just to upgrade...
