Losing connection during installations (UAC?)

Hi I have recently started running into situations where I lose my connection to a remote system as soon as I initiate any software installation. If I wait for a bit it will generallt return, or if I close & reconnect but the installation has not run - so it seems like it is happening during a UAC prompt. But these are systems that I have previously never had a problem with, and have not recently updated to a new Teamviewer client so I don't know what would have changed. Is there a new option I need to set somewhere? Or perhaps it is caused by something new in Windows 10?

I have also been running into problems with multiple-screen clients where I have control when the user switches to one screen, but not on others. Related?

Hello @Pdxpaul,

If you are losing the connection when elevated rights are required, controlling the UAC via TeamViewer is definitely the option to try.

Thanks, I have seen that information - I am just wondering why I would suddenly have to change to Windows authentication, I have dozens of client PCs and have never had to do that with any of them. This particular one I have been accessing remotely for a couple of years, then suddenly this started happening. I don't think it could be caused by an update because that is one of the things I am unable to do! Teamviewer tells me the remote is out of date but I am unable to update it. Windows update also fails partway through installing a feature update to 20H2. The option to send ctrl+alt+del is grayed out on my side. Initiaiting a remote reboot does cause the notification & countdown to pop up on the remote screen, but when it gets to 0 nothing happens.
