I'll ask you to take a look at our article regarding sharing groups that might be what you're looking for. By sharing groups from one account to another, you can simply copy the contacts into a folder on your account to make sure they still exist once you deactivate the initial account.

Thanks for your help. Following the article you suggested I managed to share the group across but unfortunately can't seem to create a copy of it. The owner of the group still comes up as the old commercial account so I am guessing if I delete the group on the original account the machines will get removed on the other account. Any thoughts on how I can create a copy of the group or take ownership of the group?
