Chrome to chrome

I have been using TV for a few years to connect to my 99 year old mothers computer and help her w/ her online activities. She runs Win 11 and I connect using Chrome. No problem. Recently, my brother was interested in my helping him too - I have a chrome book with TV loaded. He has a chrome book now w/TV loaded . When he starts the android TV app, he doesn’t get an ID just a screen that asks for someone else’s ID for remote access. Thus, I have no way to connect. Any idea how I get his user ID so he can provide it to me so I can connect to his computer?

    Hi @Ready4C,

    Thank you for your post😊

We're thrilled to hear that you are helping your mom with TeamViewer✨

As you mention that a user ID is not shown on your brother's device, could you confirm with him which TeamViewer application he has installed, please?

Depending on incoming connection or outgoing connection, a different TeamViewer application is required on a mobile device:

User ID will be displayed on the TeamViewer QuickSupport app or the TeamViewer Host app but not on the Remote Control app.

Therefore, if your brother is using the Remote Control app, would you mind asking him to install either the TeamViewer QuickSupport app or the TeamViewer Host app, please?

Regarding the differences between the QuickSupport and the Host app, please feel free to check our knowledge article.

Thank you for the response! Your info did produce a Partner ID - but, we are still unable to connect - but, this time, it's just a lack of understanding what to do to allow the connection! Even with your mobile to mobile instructions. The app is so easy to use in Windows - I've been using it for many years to help my mother. But, setting up the app to work on Chrome OS is not intuitive and my brother is absolutely not an IT guy :) so we're just going to have to wait until we're both in the same room so I can set up his Chromebook to allow me in! Again, thanks for the response and the information - still love the app and will continue to use it with my mother - Chrome to Windows and Windows to Windows - and will continue to work on getting Chrome to Chrome to work.

    Hello @Caropientje,

Great to see you posting for the first time! 🚀

I can assure you that you are not doing anything wrong.

Currently, an issue with the latest version is causing black screens when connecting to QuickSupport.

Our team is working on a solution - I will update you within this thread once we have more information to share.
