Thank you for the details, it is more clear now.
As TeamViewer is only capturing the screen of the remote computer and not communicating with the core system, there should not be any issues and software blocking themselves when connecting via TeamViewer.
Sorry for the hassle regarding your post. It was a human error.

Thanks. Sounds clear.
I heard a company claim that they can detect if a PC is run remotely via (e g) TeamViewer and that it then is able to block access to this program (for licensing reasons). I wonder: Is it even possible for a software on a Windows 10 PC to detect if the PC is being run remotely, and then refuse to be accessed? I thought any PC can remote control any other PC's software without limitations.
Hello @David22222,
Indeed, it is possible to restrict access to your PC.
You can set up an allowlist (or a blocklist) that will only authorize specific users to connect to your PC.
It will refuse all other users that try to connect to your PC.
You'll find more info here:

All the best,
Thanks but that's not what I asked about. We are contemplating purchasing an expensive software and install it on one PC and be able to run this PC remotely. I thought such remote control is possible for all Windows software without exceptions, but I heard it might be possible for the software to detect that we try to run it remotely and block it. (Not that I know why, it seems fair to me to be able to use a remote terminal or work from home when the license is locked to a specific CPU.) It is hard to get an answer to this question before actually buying the software (I have run a trial of it but the trial tends to assume I have the widest possible liense). Your answer is about ME setting up a block list, but my question is about THE SOFTWARE detecting attempt to remote control and block it. In my mind the TeamViewer remote control is a control of the whole Windows machine, I didn't think individual programs had the possibility to detect and block TeamViewer.
PS Next time you move a thread you should probably put a link where the original post was (not just a message "Discussion Not Found The page you were looking for could not be found."), or at least send a link to the new web page (which you didn't do until I got upset about it). And why is it still flagged with a warning above? I don't even understand why "commercial" should be a limitation for this forum? I used both my phone and my job PC. My company pays for licenses; but I thought the community would be a swifter way to get a reply than some kind of more official channel, and I don't even know what that official channel looks like, and e g here it sounds like there is no other way to get support:
