Teamviewer steals focus

I enter a user ID and then the password prompt comes up. This password prompt steals focus. I don't want that to happen. I know other programs that have an option to tick for this. I will put the password into notepad when I get it from the customer. I find it easier to do this due to the delay in the password prompt coming up and for re-reading to customer.

So if I am typing elsewhere, I start typing and then halfway through, TV steals focus for password entry which is really annoying.

Is there an option to disable this?

I can definitely understand the frustration when another window appears in front of the application you are using when it is unexpected.

I am a bit confused in the question, however, regarding timing; you say the password prompt appears when you enter an ID to connect to - this is expected as you are inputting a request into the TeamViewer application. The password prompt also appears pretty quickly after entering an ID to connect to a device - I am wondering how much time is there between you entering the ID and the prompt for password appearing, that allows you to begin work in another program while waiting?

Regarding possible solutions that would allow you to avoid the password prompt altogether:

(if QuickSupport is installed): Using session codes, a confirmation prompt is instead sent to the user, asking them to allow the connection. No password prompt appears

(if full version or host installed on remote machine): Setting a personal password would allow you to save the password in your Computers & Contacts list, and Easy Access removes any need for a password (usually for cases of unattended access). In these cases, the password prompt is also suppressed.
