When the screen is closed, Teamviewer does not respond. I have seen posts pointing towards turning off UDP, but that has not solved the issues. Any suggestions are welcome
Hi JeanK
Thanks for the response. We have already made that adjustment to our laptops (as we do routinely). Network connectivity is never lost when closing the laptop as the display stays on our remote screen. There is just no response to keystrokes until you open the laptop lid again. This has only started happening when we install Windows 11 on our laptops.
Changing Windows 11 "When I close the lid" does not resolve this. I too am experiencing this. Stupidly enough, it worked fine until recently. Probably a Win 11 update has messed it up.
I would love to have a solution to this. My laptop spends 99.9% of its life with the lid closed, and an external monitor in use. Maybe with that monitor in place this problem doesn't occur?
Hello @stacy_wolff110,
Great to see you posting for the first time!
It seems that when you close the lid of your laptop, it kills the internet connection.
Without internet, TeamViewer can't connect to our servers and therefore cannot work.
I would recommend choosing Do nothing as action when the laptop lid gets closed.
You can do this in our laptop's Power options.
Let me know if this helped!
