How to add a ddns address to allow list

Hello,

I want to add my ddns address and my local ip address to the allow list. I can add the 192.168.xx.xx local address, but how do I add my xxxxxx.ddns.net address?

This would, as I understand it, keep others from getting to my desktop.

What else can I do if someone (a bad guy) monitors the ports. Since TeamViewer data is encrypted, wouldn't they have a hard time knowing what is going on?

I just want to have things as safe as possible.

Any help and ideas are appreciated.

Here is a picture from my Android showing **Third Party Product** with two option connection paths. I just choose the connection path that I want to get to my desktop

This is what I would like TeamViewer on my Android to allow.

I just do no know if it is possible.

How do I connect from my Android to my Win 10 computer through my ddns address? Right now the connection is through the LAN. This doesn't work when away from home.

How do I connect thru my LAN?

Can I have scripts saved for both connection paths?

Let me see if I can remember how I setup this access. I did it a few years ago, thus I may miss something critical. I've installed TV on my desktop and my Android phone (Samsung Note8). Also, on the phone I installed the TV QuickSupport app.

Obviously, the PC must be connected to the internet. While my phone does access my LAN I don't think this is necessary as long as your phone has internet access.

On my PC I created an entry (Add Remote Computer, on the Computers & Contacts screen). I don't remember why but I did not enter a PW when I created an entry. The entry just includes the phone TV ide and in the Allas field I added JGT-Note8 to ensure I knew it was my phone.

On the phone when I open TV QuickSupport in the TV window (Computer& Contacts) on my PC, I see my phone as active (when TV QuickSupport was NOT running I did NOT see the entry), I double-click on the entry. Now on my Phone a window pops up "Allow remote support". I tap the ALLOW button, within 10 seconds I see the TV remote control window open on my PC. On my phone the TV window identifies that I have connected by showing "John XXXXX has connected to your device..." The XXXX is where my last name would appear. I assume this is from my TV account profile.

I now can use my PC mouse and keyboard to control my phone.

Hi John,

Thank you for taking the time to answer. Your example was having your PC to connect to your Android. Mine is just the opposite. When I went to the settings on the Android TV app, I don't see the same fields that you mentioned you had on your PC. I had to try reversing PC and android in your write-up since my path was 180 from your path. However, I am not giving up and I will keep trying.

Again thank you. I am amazed how difficult this has been to get working. I am having a similar problem with a popular VNC program and cannot get that to work either.

I just want to be able to access my Win 10 computer from the Android phone using my wifi (LAN) or via my ddns address when away from home.

This process has just totally stymied me.
