TeamViewer desktop shortcuts no longer work

To create a TeamViewer desktop shortcut (Windows 10) you drag the partner connection icon from the Computers & Contacts section of TeamViewer to your desktop. This shortcut points to a URL handled by TeamViewer when you open it. The URL is in the format of: teamviewer8://remotecontrol?connectcc=$partner_ID – see attached screenshot for illustration

Confirmed this issue is now resolved in the latest version of TeamViewer.

What do you mean by "Open a desktop shortcut for a partner ID"?

Could you please provide me with more details about the steps you are doing, so I can discuss this further with our engineers?

Can we please get an update here? This problem is impacting us very negatively. I reached out to support like 2 months ago and they never got back to me on this? Is there anyway to fix the desktop shortcuts or has the feature been removed?
