Getting blocked

I work at a job that has a static IP and so I was being blocked from doing more than a few seconds or remote access. I mostly just use this for my home PC's as I have a large family and lots of laptops...and then there are the in-laws. I also have church PC's that I have remoted into so I can set things up for A/V for events, etc. I tried to request my work IP not being flagged as my family homeschools and so they are on the laptops a lot and there are many times I need to help during the day....or my father in law who is retired but always needs help on his pc....I needed to do something on my home PC this morning that would be fine for the few seconds and now it says I am blocked from using it because they say I have been using it for professional use...Anyone else get blocked like this for personal use that they are accusing you of using it for a business? Just because I am able to use it at the place I work, they should be able to see the logs and know obviously, if it was being used for professional use, I wouldn't have enough clients to sustain a business, let alone see that at most 2 or 3 machines are the ones used most of the time...

    Hello @JAHempel

Thank you for your post, and welcome to the TeamViewer community!

Please know that - regardless of usage - connection to or from a workplace environment are considered commercial use, and a license is required. This is why connections from your work are flagging the IDs involved as commercial devices.

You can find more information here:

If the home IDs or the IDs of your family are flagged, you can request a reset back to personal use here:

    We apologize for any inconveniences.
