Can I remotely access my chromebook from my pc or does it just work the other way around?
Thank you,
Becky
Thank you. I'll give it a try. Very much appreciated.
Hello @Becky009,
Welcome to the TeamViewer Community! š
For Chromebooks on the "receiving side", you need to install either theĀ QuickSupport for AndroidĀ or theĀ Host for Android.
To make outgoing connections from a Chromebook, you must install theĀ TeamViewer for Chrome OSĀ app. (But this is, as far as I could understand, not relevant for you).
If I understood correctly, the Chromebook you mentioned is the "receiving side". Therefore, you need to access the Play Store and install eitherĀ QuickSupport for AndroidĀ orĀ Host for AndroidĀ on the Chromebook.
And the PC device is the "Supporter side" (you). Therefore, you need to installĀ TeamViewer for WindowsĀ on it.
Let me know if you have any further questions! I'll be happy to assist.

Hi, I have done this, but whenever it tries to connect, it says I need a license to connect to a mobile device. It's a Chromebook, not a mobile device.
Very frustrated...
Yeah, I kind of gave up on the idea. Too many roadblocks or wrong turns on my part.
JeanK,
i have teamviewer for windows (15.36.9)on my "support" machine and am trying to remotely control a chromebook. i installed teamviewer quick support on the chromebook. i can successfully connect from windows PC to chromebook, but am not able to remote control. have also tried remote control using an iphone and no luck there either. from your other replies i thought that you indicated that chromebooks are now remote controllable. any ideas as to what i'm doing wrong? needto get this working to support elderly relative who is very far from me. thanks.
That is the question I had. I am in the same situation regarding the elderly relative and at this point I have not figured out a solution. I don't believe there is one, at least not yet.

Hi @reynolwc2000,
Thank you for your message.
It could be related to QuickSupport.
Could you please remove QuickSupport from your Chromebook and try with TeamViewer Host?
JeanK
i removed QuickSupport from Chromebook. Installed TeamViewer Host. Created a login as required by TeamViewer Host and saved the Chromebook in my account as a verified connection. I AM able to connect to it and see the screen share, but (just like with Quick Support) am NOT able to perform any remote control. Note that under Dashboard the CPU is still reporting at 100% on the Chromebook which doesn't seem good. Is there anyone else who is successfully using TeamViewer on Chrome (either Host or Quick Support) to successfully remote control the Chromebook from a Windows machine? Is there anything I need to be setting in the Chromebook's settings to allow the remote control? Thanks Bill
