I am unable to update TeamViewer 15.36.

When I try from the program, it crashes at the "installing" step.

When I try to update from the web page and run the TeamViewerXX.exe it fails to get past TVInstallTemp.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but have not been able to install it. In fact it won't let me reinstall and I had to use a previous restore point.

Since December 2022, I am experiencing about 10% failure rates on updates on remote clients. The updates bomb during the installation and take the app offline. I have to have users bring their laptops in, remove what's left of TeamViewer and then reinstall it. I currently have about 20% of my users showing offline.

This pretty much defeats the purpose of the application for remote support. I should note that I disabled automatic updates because of this, but these failure rates continue even when I'm updating them myself. I thought this issue would clear up when I rolled out fresh Windows 11 images in January, but nope, still an issue.

This was rarely a problem before the end of the year. You guys really need to look into this.

4/17/23. New Windows 11 machine. Fresh installation of TV 15.39.6. 2 weeks later "There is an update!" Surprise, surprise!. But, it fails when it tries to install. Just disappears. Not a trace of it left in memory. Anybody?
