Unable to login on Android when 2FA enabled

I have TeamViewer (up to date) on a Pixel 5 (running fully patched Android 13).
I've logged out of TeamViewer, and am now unable to log back in on this device unless I go into my account on the web and disable 2FA.
The 2FA works fine on the web, and gets past the prompt for the TOTP code on mobile, but then refuses to get past the "activating" step.
When 2FA is disabled, it works fine and allows me to setup fingerprint lock but for obvious reasons is far from ideal. If I reenable 2FA, I am forced to login again on mobile with 2FA after fingerprint (which I can't do as it reverts to the above behaviour).
Is this a known issue? Is there a workaround that doesn't involve ditching 2FA?
