Password entry issue--desktop vs mobile
When remotely accessing a Windows machine from a mobile (iOS) device using the TeamViewer app, entering the Windows logon password results in "Password is incorrect"--i.e., something about the way the password is typed via the mobile app is not exactly the same as the way it is typed through the desktop client.
When accessing this same computer using the desktop TeamViewer client (i.e. from another Windows machine), this of course works fine and I can log on to my remote machine.
The kicker is that when viewing the actual text in the password window, the text inputted is identical. I can't figure out what is causing the password to be accepted when I type it using the desktop client, but not accepted using the iOS client.
Is there a difference between the Windows/desktop client and iOS/mobile client when it comes to text encoding or password entry?
