Kicking off ethernet when connecting to a remote session

Hi,

When I connect to another remote session using their ID and password it proceeds to kick me off ethernet, it doesn't disconnect it as it still shows in the network adapters as connected. I therefore have to restart the adapter or disconnect the cable and reconnect it,

Please could someone advise?
