When I logged into the remote computer we started getting all manner of pop up notifications on the remote computer. Has this happened to anyone else? Windows 10 on the remote. Believe it is running default windows security, did not find anything with a malwarebyte scan

Any ideas?

Could you please share a screenshot of one of the popup notifications?

We can then better understand the kind of popup that shows up on the remote computer.

Not sure if I can replicate it, although I might try. Almost all were warnings purporting to be from Mcafee that i had a virus, or should install it, etc. I wasn't entirely clear whose screen those were popping up on. I was remoting in from a state park wireless connection. I finally ignored the corner popups and just worked to get done. Neither computer found a virus or malware later. Only happened while holding the remote connection.

Thank you for the additional information.

As those popups looked to be from McAfee, it seems that it is not related to TeamViewer.

Although, as you mentioned that you were using a wireless connection from a state park, it can be possible that those popups could come from some malware.

Also, nothing suspicious has been found on both side, so you did the right action to ignore the popups!
