how to avoid software installation during teamviewer sessions

Hi, the tax consultant is asking to have a meeting in teamviewer.

My fear is, that malignant software will be silently installed from his/her computer to my computer, a mac ventura 13.3.1, taking advantage of the freedom to operate of teamviewer on my machine.

How can i avoid it?

To protect the safety and privacy during remote connections, we would advise ONLY having remote connections with the people you know and fully trust.

On the other hand, to avoid any suspicious files and software sharing on your device, the permission to Transfer files during the connections can be edited.

Simply go to TeamViewer ➜ GearWheel (⚙) ➜ Advanced ➜ Advanced settings for connections to this computer ➜ Access Control ➜ Custom settings ➜ Configure ➜ Transfer files and File transfer using the file box. At the same time, please check for all other accessing setting options and ensure that you are limiting any changes from the remote partner to your local computer.
