Where is the Description box in the new TV?

With the newer TV upgrade I cannot see the Description Box anymore when you click on Properties in my Computers and Contacts List.

Is there a way to get this box back on the new version?

Thanks for reaching out to us about the Description Box!

With TeamViewer Remote you can access the Description Box by :

1. Click the Devices tab in the left menu.

2. Select the device, and click the three dots ( ⋮ ) ➜ Edit

3. The Description will be under Overview.

I did it as recommend and is not showing. It only shows Alias and TV ID. Description Box nowhere to be found.

Yes indeed. Computers are divided by Groups.

Thanks for confirming this!

When you use the All devices tab, it will show you everything (the devices originally added to the Computers & Contacts list, the devices added to the Device Groups, and the session code will also display as bookmarked).

👉 At this moment, It is only possible to add a Description for devices that have been migrated (or added) to Device Groups.

Devices on your original Computers & Contacts list will display with a gray icon, and they will give you error messages asking you to migrate them to Device Groups. Here are some examples:

These devices require an update to be fully functional and to allow your company to manage them. Learn more.

This device is bookmarked and therefore has reduced functionality. To manage and set up remote access on this device, please log in with your account. Learn more.

The green icon groups are your Device Groups, once the device is listed under it, you should be able to edit the Description without any issues.
