TeamViewer console not adding my devices

I cannot use TeamViewer because when I try to sign in it keeps asking me to add my device

I follow the procedure of getting an email and reply to add this device

I follow the next screen to add the device

I am told to sign in again

When I try to sign in I get the same procedure with the new email

This appears to be the same if I use Chromebook or both my Android phones that I am trying to get to work together

I expected being able to connect to my second device to be simple as I have used TeamViewer in the past without any problems.

All I have got is a headache trying to make this work. When I try to use the internet to find fixes all it does is open a new can of worms because the help instructions are often out of date,
