Can't remove a device from Managed Devices

Teamviewer is giving me a red-shaded notice next to the section for 'All Managed Devices', showing that I have '4/3 Managed devices'.

I don't know how it let me add one more than is apparently permitted but I'm guessing there was a settings change after I added them.

I want to remove one of those devices as I don't need regular access to it any more, but the other three I do.

However, when I try to choose 'Remove myself as manager' I get the following pop up:

"No Edit Permissions. You don’t have any edit permissions for the devices you selected. Please choose different devices."

I've tried removing it from my main device, and from being logged into the device itself, but each time I get the same response.

How do I remove this device?

Well,

I realised I could delete the device, so I did that.

Interestingly, when I added it again, Teamviewer added it to Managed devices again, putting me back up to the 4 out of 3 allowed 😅

So I deleted it again and then added it specifically as a Bookmarked device instead.

I still don't understand why I couldn't just remove the designation as Managed device though.

Any insights?
