TeamViewer offers different ways to initiate remote sessions, and one of the ways can be by sharing TeamViewer ID and password, but that's not the only option!

To better assist you, could you please let me know the following:

On which side (iPhone or Android) are you seeing the prompt of asking for the partner's ID?
Which modules are you using in both ends?
What is the manufacturer of your android device?
