Hello! I am currently working with a computer in a shared lab that had a pre-set personal password, but multiple accounts. It won't allow me to change the personal password, but it works when I sign in with the temporary passwords.

Can we ask what TeamViewer version and OS you are using?
You mention that you are using TeamViewer in a work environment, a shared lab, what type of paid license do you have?
Also, would be great if you could send us a screenshot of the issue, so that we can assist you more accurately.
