Hey TeamViewer community,
Remote sessions are powerful, but sometimes I find myself switching apps mid-session (calculator, notepad, etc.) — it disrupts workflow. I’m exploring the idea of integrating small micro-tools inside remote session environments.
For example, I built a web tool (gratuitously, for UAE end-of-service calculations) just to solve a specific need. It got me thinking: in a remote support or collaborative session, what if you had:
A mini calculator pop-up inside the session window
A small note pad area that both parties can see / edit
A session timer or break reminder integrated inside
A quick data estimator or helper tool (for costs, conversions, etc.)
So my questions to the community:
1. Does TeamViewer support embedding small web widgets / tools within remote sessions (via overlays or plugins)?
2. What limitations should I watch for (performance, compatibility, security)?
3. If you could add one micro-tool inside your remote session environment, what would it be and why?
I’d love to hear from any devs or power users who’ve experimented with these kinds of tool integrations.
Thanks in advance for ideas!
