Hi all,
We would like to inform you that TeamViewer is ending support for the Linux client running on i386 (Intel 32‑bit) systems. The March 2026 release will be the final version provided for this platform.
The TeamViewer Linux client on i386 (Intel 32‑bit) will not receive any updates, fixes, or security patches after the March 2026 release. The March release will therefore remain the last supported version, and no subsequent versions will be made available for this architecture.
Why this change
The i386 (Intel 32‑bit) architecture is no longer widely supported by modern Linux distributions, and maintaining compatibility within this environment is no longer feasible. Redirecting development and testing resources to actively supported architectures will ensure long‑term product stability, security, and quality.
What it means for you
If you are currently using TeamViewer on an i386 Linux system, your installation will continue to operate, but it will not receive maintenance updates, new features, or security-related improvements after the March 2026 release. To continue receiving updates, you will need to migrate to a supported architecture such as x86_64.
Required action
We recommend that all affected users transition to a supported 64‑bit Linux environment to maintain access to updates and ongoing support. If migration is not possible, you may continue to use the final i386-compatible version with the understanding that it will no longer be maintained.
All the best,
/JeanK
