I followed the instructions to connect to a Samsung tablet so that I could help a friend. I installed the necessary software on my own Samsung tablet and although I was able to connect to the tablet from my desktop and view the tablet's screen on my desktop, I was unable to do much in terms of controlling the tablet. At best I could sporadically click an icon to access an app, I could do very little with the app.
To be more specific, I could open a pdf file, but when I went to print it (again with the correct software installed on the tablet), I was unable to go further. I couldn't choose a printer, the app seemed to freeze. Working on the tablet only, there was no problem printing the document.
It appeared that I could take 1 or 2 steps in controlling the tablet screen, but when I tried a third step, nothing happened. I tried several times but always with the same result - after a couple of steps, the tablet became unresponsive to whatever I did.
The tablet and the desktop are in the same room, and I don't know if that would cause this problem. As I said, I want to help a friend remotely (he also has a Samsung tablet), but if I can't control his screen from my desktop, then Team Viewer is not a solution.
My version of Team Viewer is up to date, as is the Quick Support app.
Any ideas to help me out?
