Another console that doesn't link to the main one

Question

Hi,

We have the Premium 2 channel license, so I believe we can have two completely separate accounts..?  I'm wanting to have a secondary user, and build a list of new groups/contacts/computers that is completely separate to our main account.  Is that possible?  If so, how would I go about it please?

Following on from that, is there a way to give the secondary account read only access to certain groups that are required?

Thanks Carol.  I've figured it out now.  I have a blank generic named user account so that won't ever be an issue.  All sorted!

If the company is already created, you can skip this step and add the users.  ✅

I would suggest configuring the users' permissions/roles and then sharing the device groups with them. New accounts won't inherit any device automatically (by default, the Device list is always empty). You will need to manually share with the new user the devices to be accessed.

Hint: For better company management, the recommendation is to have a main account and centralize all devices on it to share with the company users. This is particularly useful when employees leave the organization or new ones are hired. (The devices don't get stuck in the account of a user who is no longer with the organization, and it makes it easier to transfer the administration to a new admin if needed.)
