This isn't so much of a problem as a bit of a puzzler---to me at least.
I have Team Viewer installed on a couple of computers on my home network. I use my main desktop as my host computer which has its own unique identifier on the network (WIN1) and when I open the management console in its installation of Team Viewer, this shows as the display name in the General tab and as the name in the C&C panel which is what one would expect.
The curious thing is that the other computer which I control remotely from WIN1 also shows as WIN1 in the C&C panel in the management consoles of Team Viewer on both computers in spite of the fact its display name IS listed as WIN2 on the General tab when I open the Team Viewer management console on WIN2.
Hope that is clear as mud! :-)
Can anyone tell me why this is? It's not causing any issues with remote sessions but I confess it sort of threw me the first time it popped up like that as I was expecting to see WIN2 list as...well...WIN2.
Any guidance would be appreciated.
