Remote control not working for Sony Xperia XZ1 runnin gAndroid 8.0.0

Running TV 13.0.6447 on Windows 7 Pro workstation. Have always been able to remote control a Sony Xperia X Compact running Android 7.1.1. Replaced that phone with a Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact running Android 8.0.0. Now both Host and Quick Support apps only permit remote viewing of the Android screen. Pressing a mouse button on the Windows machine turns the cursor into a blur hand but does not have any effect on the Android device. How to get remote control of this new Sony phone?

Hi,

My Sony Xperia XZ1 has now Androind 9.

I downloaded TeamViewer 14 and it stills tells me that remote support is not possible due tu firmware restrictions.

I thought Sony is on the list with the supported devices with remote support.
