So I have a client who has a Vendor supporting their Management Software with Teamviewer 6 Quick Support. I know Teamviewer 6 is not officially supported but it worked in the past and it is a Vendor, I personally have the subscription.
So I was told they had trouble a week or two ago but from the employee of client it was Vendors ends, no details.
Now Owner of company is moving laptops and the laptops have a portable version of the Management Software that syncronizes with the SQL Database so the vendor has tro install the portable and application version of the front end on the Laptops and change some settings because that laptop is going to a different new employee. (Only telling this to get this micromanagement you can't install our software from Vendors of my chest and shgow how PITA they are and why thgey are still on 6)
Well both laptops are Dell XPS one new one 2 generations back. Both running Win 10 1804.
Vendor is saying they can not connect to them.
Besides the obvious 6 is not officially supported get them upgrade to new since it has been working any one have any ideas or official word that 6 has stopped working on Win 10 1804 or a longshot does it support the new scheam where the ID is now 10 Numbers and not 9. Which it was wondering how Teamviewer was going to pull this off. since IPv.4 to 6 isn't as easy.
. Is there a workaround or some settings I need to change on the newer additions of win 10 like 1709 or 1804?
Thank you.
