Hello! I'm having this problem, on Xubuntu 18.04.
As soon as teamviewer's main window is open, the status indicator plugin crashes. Reopening the plugin will just crash it again, until teamviewer has been closed.
Here is the bug report to XFCE:
https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15110
Still happens in Teamviewer 15.3.2682.
This happens with Teamviewer 14 as well, and also happens on other environments like Mate:
https://community.teamviewer.com/t5/Linux/Teamviewer-13-crashes-Mate-Desktop-notifications-applet/m-p/28187
https://github.com/mate-desktop/mate-panel/issues/692
I'm on Xfce as well where the indicator widget is called "Status Notifier Plugin". Is there any workaround to block indicators for Teamviewer?
I expect that no application should be able to crash the panel item, but as many other implementations are crashing equally, I guess Teamviewer is doing something really wrong with the notifications.
I just posted a bug report in XFCE bugzilla:
https://bugzilla.xfce.org/buglist.cgi?component=General&product=Xfce4-statusnotifier-plugin&resolution=---
Yes, I have done the same.
I thought this was a problem with Teamviewer, because it's the only Application with this problem. But I am not sure.. where would we need to report this problem for the XFCE-Devs to see it?
