    I use TeamViewer to transfer wildlife videos and photos taken at home to my elderly and very ill father who lives in aged care interstate and which I then load and run for him. I have some special native birds who visit and do some fun things which he enjoys to view/see.

    However some of the video files are quite large or there are multiple videos and high quality photos that I try to load to his laptop. The activity of loading these files across to his laptop via TeamViewer appears to have been presumed by TeamViewer admins to be commercial use. This is not correct - it is all private use and I receive no financial compensation.

    Since my last submission of the reset form to TeamViewer admins for account reactivation, I have been given limited TeamViewer access where I now only have several sessions of roughly 3 mins duration each before my access is disabled.

    I've tried submitting another reset form but it fails to upload after signing (something not uncommon to others based on this thread). This is now unworkable and it's a shame that TeamViewer admins seem so unresponsive and apparently not prepared to review the facts of the situation.

    I really like TeamViewer but will have to seek an alternative that will let me remotely run my Father's laptop and support file transfers of the videos and photos that he gets so much pleasure from. Something like **Third Party Product** may do the job...

    It's so sad and unnecessary and could be resolved really quickly otherwise.

    my connection has been blocked because of very high activity levels suggesting professional use.

    this isn't the case. How can I unblock this? I simply use TV to connect to 2 of my machine alternatively depending on which one I am using in order to check something on it.

    but TV in all their wisdom didn't think the free their people deserve a support ticket.

    any thoughts on how I can get them to unblock it?

    Hi,

    I am using the free license of TeamViewer to access computers (a laptop, a desktop computer and a small server) on my home network. This is purely for personal use. I am the only one who has access to the computers and only use TeamViewer occasionally to check on some applications. Over the last two days I closed / opened a connection more often than usual, as a small program I was running on one of the computers was buggy. Apparently TeamViewer now assumed that I would be using the software professionally.

    Thus, two questions:

    a) What are the limitation of the free license with regards to either online-time or number of logins? Was not aware there exists such a limit, but apparently it does.

    b) What do I need to do to have the lock removed again? Does it unlock itself again after a certain (cool-down) period, or do I need to contact support?

    Any help in this matter is greatly appreciated.

    I'm getting prompted that one of my home PCs is being flagged as possible commercial use. I have never used it for work, or anything work related. I recently bought a new PC, and only have one monitor, so I've been remoting into the old one whenever I need to access anything on it. I tried to fill out the form, but the form is broken for me (I'm using Chrome). Neither the button to add more than one TeamViewer ID nor the signature box are working, and of course, I can't submit without a signature.

    How do I reach someone to get this fixed if the form isn't working?

    Hi,

    I am a student who uses the team viewer to access my Desktop PC from my laptop. I have been travelling recently and needed to access my pc very frequently using Team Viewer. I was notified today that my free user account has been blocked because of high activity.

    how can I solve this?

    So I have been using team viewer for a bit over a year for a 2nd computer I have in my room that is used to host a private Minecraft server for me and a couple of my friends but know I cant access it anymore with team viewer because it thinks I am using it for commercial use

    Hello @gibsonm

    For browsers, Trusted Device verification is contained within the cookies of the browser. If another browser is used, or the cache/cookies cleared, then the verification will need to occur again. Alternatively, you can choose Trust this IP instead of just the device. As previously mentioned, two factor authentication for your TeamViewer account removes the need for the email verification system altogether.

    Regarding the form - I have continued testing the form in an attempt to replicate the issues experienced. I was unable to replicate a blank white screen at the end of the process.

    The website will confirm a successful submission at the end of the process. If you did not see the confirmation message, please access the form again:

    1. If it was submitted, a message will appear informing you of this and asking for your patience.
    2. If it was not submitted, due to error, the form would reload again.

    Once submitted, the team will assess the request and reply directly via email regarding the resolution. We do currently quote around 5 business days for such a resolution.

    what happens when you get the commercial use limit and then fill out the form but it won't work or generate a pdf???

    The screen does not go blank white.

    The background of the button does.

    The result of the screen remains the same.

    I took the temporary colour change of the button (only) to imply that something was happening but as I say I did not get any sort of message saying "thanks for submitting the form, we'll get back to you" or similar.

    I can't figure out how to get your software to work, it thinks I am using in a commercial way and won't let me connect to my Mom's Computers. I tried to reset, but apparently it only shows One ID, and every time I try to reset it again to add the other ID i am connecting From, it won't give me the form to enter the information in. It just keeps saying thankyou for submitting and gives me the ability to download the form that only has the one ID.

    I have spent hours trying to figure out how to fix the issue and I am so fed up.

    This whole process is awful, I don't understand why Team Viewer hasn't updated the systems they use to make this process easier for those who are wrongfully detected as commercially use.

    Heya!

    On https://www.teamviewer.com/en-us/info/free-for-personal-use/ it clearly says "TeamViewer is free for personal use. This can’t be overstated. There are no fees, no time limits, and no subscriptions."

    However the app has locked me out due to "maximum session duration to a partner". It's likely because I've just left if connected day after day sometimes without thinking about it. So much for "no time limits" and "This can't be overstated".

    How can I get it back? This is brutal not being able to support my mom after my dad passed away.

  • I only remote to my personal pc at home using my 2 android phone.

    1 phone is through the local wifi, the other phone is sometime used withing the local wifi and also 4G data. Recently, I am getting notification of quick session termination due to suspected use as Commercial Usage. This is not true.

    How can I fix this? Please help 😥

    Thanks for the update. I am still very curious as to what may have happened with the submission.

    I do not think you mentioned it yet, but could you please let me know the OS & browser used?

    I am thinking, if no information changed between submissions, perhaps a browser setting (cookies or otherwise) was causing the issue. As you had to trust the same browser multiple times, these two issues could be linked

    Regarding turnaround time, we currently quote up to 5 business days for resolution. We thank you for your patience.

  • We are a 501c3 religious organization - not commercial. I want to access my church computer from my home to prepare for upcoming services. I am not paid - no money involved - thus not commercial usage. I only need to use the connection 2-4 hours a week. I think $34.90 /month for a commercial license in my case seems rather high.

    Hello, I am just using TV for my own PC, sometimes helping my father or brother (once or twice a year) and every three or four years I help another friend with some issue, never gained a cent for any work I did with teamviewer and also for the company I am working for I am using a commercial profile. How do I get that error away while appearing at times? And is there a way to use my private and my company's account on the same device without switching accounts all the time?


    Will be happy for help, really annoying to be thrown out of my PC at home with "commercial use" as it is very clear that I nearly only connect to this PC.
