Free doesn't really seem to mean free

I get this:

License; Trial Version

Expires: Expired

I have removed the old Team Viewer client, removed all Team Viewer entries in the Windows Registry, cleaned the files and registry with CCleaner, restarted my machine, and installed the client from a new download. I still get the message above. I have well over 20 years ans an IT Pro, and am out of ideas. I want to use this as an individual for very limited  assistance for some family members. What is wrong, what am I missing?

  • Have you activated your free account?

    If your account is showing as anything other than "Free", you may have to contct support via telephone to get them to change a setting on their side.  I had to do that about 3 years ago before I converted all my end-users to the paid Buisness License I eventually purschased.
