Why is TeamViewer_Service.exe listening on UDP port 5353 (mDNS) ? There is no mention of this behaviour in the knowledge base article on used ports.

    Hello @BCSC_TV_Admin ,

Thanks for your first post and for raising attention to this question!

TeamViewer outbound communications will use those 3 ports listed in our article Ports used by TeamViewer (80, 443, and 5938).

However, incoming communications from TeamViewer will be sent to the ephemeral ports of your operating system. TeamViewer only communicates with your system after it sends us a message first, and it's on this contact that we learn the ephemeral port chosen by your system. Our app has no control over which ephemeral port will be chosen, each of your systems could choose a different one and they can change easily.

I hope this helps! Let us know if we can help with anything else. 🙋‍♀️

    Best, Carol 👩🏻‍🦰🌷
