Teamviewer causes "Always On" Display

I recently installed the latest version of Teamviewer yesterday, and after connecting to a computer, that computer's display will no longer turn off.

This is a concern with OLED displays that can burn-in. They are meant to shut off after a short period of time.

For some reason, the latest version of Teamviewer prevents this from happening. It seems effect laptops with a discrete GPU and an IGPU in particular, but does not effect my desktop with a discrete GPU and no IGPU (KF series CPU with no iGPU).

What is causing this problem and how can it be fixed?
