If I lose my phone, how will I be able to approve remote access? Is there a backup code that I can save or how can I set up the 2FA in another device if I lose my current phone?

There are 2 types of 2 factor authentication, one for your connection and the other for your TeamViewer account. Please check the 2 factor authentication you are referring to and confirm the following information.
2 factor authentication for connection:
2 factor authentication for TeamViewer accounts:
When activating 2 factor authentication for your TeamViewer account, you will get an individual recovery code. With this recovery code, you will be able to deactivate 2 factor authentication.
Therefore, please know that TeamViewer highly advised all the users that you have to save the recovery code in a secure place. Please thoroughly check the following article for more information: 📄Deactivate Two-Factor Authentication
