Has TeamViewer blocked access to the free version of TeamViewer 15 now?
I tried to connect to a family member's TeamViewer Quick Support and received an error. It was something like, "Unable to connect. Reason unknown." I tried several times and got the same error every time.
Is it possible I can no longer connect because TeamViewer 15 is no longer supported by TeamViewer? I read the article, "New updates regarding the free usage of TeamViewer 15."
Part of it reads, "For our free users accessing older TeamViewer versions (specifically versions 15.00 to 15.36), we're launching a program to keep you up-to-date. Starting mid-April, users on these older versions will receive warnings prompting them to ensure both sides of their connections are running the latest release. In June, connections for users on these older versions will be blocked."
The article also says, "Additionally, we want to inform our macOS users that connections through macOS 10.11-10.13 will no longer be possible for free users."
Does the error when trying to connect to my family member's TeamViewer today mean those things have happened to me – I can no longer use a free version of TeamViewer?
I look forward to accurate answers about this.
