Bug when running as admin from normal user

I need to run teamviewer as admin to enable unattended access, but when right clicking and running as admin then providing the password teamviewer does not start.

It gives the error message that "Microsoft Edge can't read or write to its data directory".

This happens with the new and old interface. It is because teamviewer is trying to use the "admin" users directory instead of the current users directory.

There's a possibility that the issue is related to WebViewer2.
TeamViewer interface requires Microsoft Edge WebView2 technology, and the issue could be related to an older version or admin permissions set to Edge.

Please make sure your Microsoft Edge WebView2 is up to date and without any restrictions. To uninstall Edge and download/install it again, you can use their website:  https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/webview2?form=MA13LH Note: We would advise restarting the device after it, then try to open TeamViewer again.
