Starting 25 November 2025, TeamViewer will officially end support for macOS 12 (Monterey). This decision follows Apple’s discontinuation of security updates for macOS 12 as of July 2024.
What this means for you
From the 25 November 2025 release onward, new versions of TeamViewer will no longer be compatible with macOS 12. If you're currently using macOS 12, we strongly recommend updating to a newer macOS version to continue enjoying full access to TeamViewer’s latest features and security enhancements.
Older TeamViewer versions will still run on macOS 12, but they will not receive updates. Please note that using outdated operating systems and software poses security risks and is not recommended.
Why this change
Security and performance are at the heart of everything we do. Supporting legacy systems that no longer receive updates from their vendors limits our ability to deliver a secure and reliable experience. This change allows us to focus on supporting modern platforms and technologies.
Your options
To ensure uninterrupted service and security, please update your macOS to a supported version and install the latest TeamViewer version.
