Needing password to acess my PC

Hi!
I use teamviewer to access my two PCs at home and the one at work, and a few months ago, somehow it has started to request the password to access the PC at work. I can acess my two pcs at home easily without this, but I can't find how to remove the password request from the work PC… Can anyone help me with this?

the thing is, I've seen that in the settings, but in this PC the easy access option is greyed out, can't be ticked.

TV broke stuff with the update. Even if you could still remote from PC to PC, mobile easy access was broken. Go into your PC, open TV, go to the home page, scroll down, and click on the setup for remote access option. This will go through and fix mobile access.

Keep in mind I had already logged out and back in on my devices and even reinstalled the mobile app during troubleshooting.

This is not a licensing issue. TV broke Easy access from mobile apps in this last update. I do not use work PC's at all and suddenly I can't easy access from my phone to my PC's (I keep getting prompted for password) but my PC's all can EA each others. I've relogged into all my devices, and uninstalled/reinstalled my phone app. still can't EA my computers, which all have EA turned on.

Edit - Where I've been logging directly into my home pc's from my phone for years, I am now being prompted for a password, which if I was there to get the password (which isn't enabled in security settings), I wouldn't need to remotely access from my phone

Edit 2 - I had to go into the home page of TV on my PC's and click enable for remote access - even though they already were and I could access from other PC's. That fixed my app being able to.

Even if you’re not actively performing commercial work on your work PC, the deciding factor for Easy Access in the free version is whether a device is part of a private or commercial environment.

Because your work PC belongs to a commercial environment, the free version cannot enable Easy Access for that device. Thanks a lot for your understanding.

Hi!

First of all, about the earlier post, I had completely forgot about it and only noticed the notification about the reply after sending this query, so I'm sorry about a "duplicate post".

The thing is, Even tho it's on my work PC, I'm not using it for commercial uses at all, I only use it to access my pcs at home (and viceversa, on the weekend).

Welcome back to the Community, and thanks for your question!

Based on what you described, the password request on your work PC is expected behavior when using the free version of TeamViewer.

As @.Carol.fg. mentioned in your earlier post, Easy Access can only be enabled for private use on up to three personal devices, and TeamViewer does not support using the free version for both personal and work devices under the same account.

Your two home PCs still work with Easy Access because they fall within the private‑use rules, whereas your work PC is considered a commercial device. That's why TeamViewer always asks for a password before starting the connection. To remove the password required to connect to your work PC, you would need a TeamViewer license.
