I have a remote user in Argentina with a MacBook using TV to connect to a similar MacBook here in the US. OS and TV versions are updated and matching. Each time the remote user disconnects from the TV session, it is not impossible for her to reconnect until one of us on-site either restarts the laptop or logs in as her and quits/opens TV fresh.
We've allowed TeamViewer in areas of Settings such as: Full Disk Access, Screen & System Audio Recording, and Accessibility. We've even attempted to prevent locking, screensaver, and sleep.
