Won't Install macOS Catalina

Tried to download today. Download worked; however, the install stalls and I get a beachball.  WHY?

macOS 15.10.4 (Catalina)

Have you tried to restart your Mac and try the installation once again?

I have not re-installed Catalina.  Everything else is working fine.  I did do a hard reboot, but no joy.
