I found what I was looking for however no assistance has been provided on any of the posts/replies etc.
How can I stop TeamViewer from closing after one minute?
I'm running TeamViewer to access my PC or my brother inlaws and do not operate as a comercial options. I do however access these PC's via my work laptop when they need help.
i have encountered the same problem, please restore my access back to personal use. thanks
suddenly yesterday mine lets me in to my home PC but for 1min then kicks me off with message:...
CONNECTION BLOCKED AFTER TIMEOUT - YOUR LICENCE LIMITS THE MAXIMUM SESSION TO A PARTNER, IMMEDIATE RECONNECTS ARE BLOCKED. PLEASE TRY LATER OR UPGRADE YOUR LIC.
CONNECTIONS TO THIS PARTNER WILL BE BLOCKED UNTIL XX:XX (15min later) each time
I use it to access my home computer from work, occasionally, used it once this week on tues., then this yesterday. Hardly commercial use
Hi, can i know why i get this message " This app seems to be used in commercial environments. your session will end within 5 minutes". But i'm only use it from my iphone to connect to my laptop. How to get rid of this? Thank you.
Same thing, after updating to the latest version. The way to bypass it for now is to use iOS (maybe same goes for Android, not sure) TeamViewer - no issues there for now.
Same issue here, have used TeamViewer for years for personal use and now this has happened in windows.
Seems to work ok under IOS on iphone.
Hi, sorry for the brief response. I've encounted this problem before (about a year ago) and after going to that link and briefly explaining my situation it was fixed. I have just had the same encounter again and after a quick google search i have found that link above and have gone through the process again. The whole process took me last time about 2 days.
so is teamviewer fixing this problem or can't we use the free version anymore on a windows PC or android phone.
I just went to do the form on the link above and it wants a logfile, don;t have one to upload and it want let me go past the request
I'll be honest, I'm shocked that this issue has been marked as solved. It's Friday here in Australia and I'm hoping to use Team Viewer over the weekend to access programs and complete my assignments. I can't wait 30 days for a response.
TeamViewer, PLEASE, help!!!!
As a personal user, I'd be happy to pay a small yearly fee. On a minimum wage and a student, I can't afford those business prices. Simply not possible.
Ive uninstalled it. Not worth the trouble. Someone suggested **Third Party Product** so am giving that a go.
@Damienb I had a quick look at that. I could only find business versions. Maybe I was looking in the wrong place. Is there a free/personal version? Thank you.
Thought I would comment here as this hasn't been marked as having a solution yet. Same problem, personal user, now can't use Team Viewer at all unless I buy a business licence. I don't use it for business use, so why would I?! Like many others, I have completed the "personal use verification" form, with a reply that says we are busy and will get back to you in 30 days. With the number of people watching these particular threads, I'd say a LOT are having the issue.
Suggestion to Team Viewer: If you can't get through the "personal use verifications" quicker than 24 hours, you should be allowing the user normal access until you can review their usage. Don't punish users when they haven't done something wrong. Innocent until proven guilty so to speak. Otherwise, your clients are all going to move to another platform and you won't get them back, resulting in losing potential business clients. Thank you!!
Sure is. I downloaded this: [Link was removed by a moderator]
Just make sure you change the alias of your computer to something you will remember. They have an app for phone too etc.
No registration required.
thank you for the link, but my "enable logging" wasn't ticked in options by default as I installed a free version.
Has anyone heard from Tech support, they have not made a comment here at all.
Further I cannot get incoming connections to my PC either from my I.T Tech support person, who is paying for a full business lic.
So I followed what the KB said on my previous post and led me to filling up a form the other day. I tried it yesterday but no luck. As of today, the only thing i did was to sign-out from Teamviewer software from my desktop then tried again and it's working fine now :smileyvery-happy: (no longer prompts that i'm suspected of using this for commercial use).
I'm not sure if it has something to do with the form that I submitted (Thanks Teamviewer Team!   ), or maybe just a bug on the system then we must sign-out and log back in again.
Just wanted to let everyone know here that my TeamViewer has sorted itself out. I filled out the Personal Access verification yesterday so that seems to have fixed it for me.
Mine's fixed as well and I filled out that form the exact day this stupid issue happened.
Personal Verification Link: https://www.teamviewer.com/en/support/personal-use-verification/
You'll need your Device ID, which has steps here: https://community.teamviewer.com/t5/TeamViewer-General/What-is-the-Device-ID-for-the-Personal-Use-Ve...
And you'll need your TeamViewer Logs, which you can get by following the steps here:
Good on you. I tried to sign out and in again with no luck... will have to wait for TeamViewer to review my work log...
I tried logging out and back in as well, that didn't work
I think Team Viewer needs to have some personal pricing if that's the way they are going, rather that the very expensive business version which is not worth a personal user paying for
I wouldn't mind paying an annual fee to use the product
I have now done some trials of other options which seem to be working just fine
Mine now displays a fancy window apologising for the interruption and informing me I have exceeded the free threshold - then connects me and ives me a while 30 seconds.
Badly played Teamviewer !!!
hi i followed the steps to send in my inquiry please check and respond ASAP thanks so i can use teamviewer again
Sad that this is the end of an era. Used to love using TeamViewer to help my non-techy family and friends with their PC problems and then got unceremoniously dumped by TV for my kindness. Asked my family to uninstall Teamviewer and use the free "re motepc.com" product instead. Works like a charm for anyone interested ;>)
I followed the steps that you provided and in less than 1 day was advised that my ID has been reset to private, non-commercial use. I tried TeamViewer and it works just like it did before.
Thank you very much for all your help with this problem, and I hope all our friends have the same success.
I encounter this problem too
I think they try to make more money now
so sad :smileysad:
I am having the same problem.. Is there a new limitation to the free license?
I just need enough time to uninstall TV and install **Third Party Product** lol
I have seen the same message from my teamviewer account. I only used them on my laptops on home desktops for personal usage. I have raised the issue Ticket ID: 4099256 ticket to resolve the issue.
Please look into this and help me resolve.
Thanks in advance for all the help!
TW thinks my free (once again: free) license is a non-free one and require plan update (cheap trick to buy) and disconnect after 5 mins. Only on windows devices even it was a simple, basic next-next-finish type of installation.
Why? How can be fixed?
Personal Notebook - This is a team viewer that uses only personal PCs. We've been limited to commercial use .... Because the notebook performance is not good when you are outside or in a cafe I often use the Team Viewer. Please remove the restriction.
Yes this is very annoying. I have used the free licence TV for 3 years - to connect to my computers at the cottage and occasionally help family with computer problems. Only recently have I started getting "commercial use suspected" and the forced timeouts. The latter don't seem to follow a pattern. Sometimes I can stay online for an hour or more but In the worst cases I can only stay connected for 5 mins and then reconnecting is blocked for 5 mins. If they provide a "free licence" they should be upfront about restrictions. Obviously it's now just a "trial" version and they are forcing you into a paid licence.
It would seem TeamViewer has decided that users need to verify there staus to continue to use teamviewer for Free. I hav passed this information on , but until I get down there again i wont know personaly, However I have found a lot of replies stating that using the verification has worked. Im not a user of teamviewer myself, however im extremly dissapointed in there actions. Why did they try to force a user to buy a licence when they could have asked we verify first. Why have they not replied to our comunity to inform us of there desicion to stop free use until we verify. Thanks for everyones input .
Hi, On the personal Verification link that you provided, there is a disclaimer in red saying that "Personal usage of TeamViewer is not possible on a Windows Server operating system! This automatically qualifies as commercial use and requires a license."
Does this mean we can't use TeamViewer on Windows without a license?
I'm using teamviewer v12 (free version) for long time. But recently it suddenly blocked my connection. After I upgrade it to v13, it can let me connect for around 30 sec and then it kicked me out and said "session timed out and will be closed". What can I do to solve the problem?
(I've tried another machine and install a new teamviewer v13, the connection is fine)
